What does a E-commerce Manager?

(E-commerce Manager) As an e-commerce manager, you are responsible for the online sales strategy of a company. You develop and implement marketing campaigns to increase traffic to the webshop and stimulate sales. In this role, you analyze customer behavior and purchasing trends to improve the user experience of online shopping. You coordinate with various teams such as IT, marketing, and customer service. Your impact is essential in increasing revenue and customer satisfaction. Daily, you work on optimizing product pages, managing inventory, and preparing sales reports.

Required Education

For a position as E-commerce Manager, typically an HBO or WO degree is required, preferably in a field such as Marketing, Business Administration, Communication, or E-business. If you are doing HAVO or VWO, the Economics & Society (E&M) profile is most suitable, where subjects like economics, mathematics, and possibly computer science are valuable. An MBO education in marketing, commerce, or e-commerce can also form a good foundation, but additional HBO education is often desired. Relevant work experience in online marketing, webshop management, or data analysis can sometimes compensate for lower formal education.
