For a career as a carpenter, an MBO education level 2 to 4 in the direction of Construction and Infrastructure is most common, such as the Furniture Maker/Interior Builder or All-round Carpenter program. These programs combine practical skills with theoretical knowledge about materials, construction techniques, and building drawings. Subjects like mathematics and physics are important for understanding construction principles and making calculations. Even without formal MBO education, you can learn the trade through an apprenticeship or by starting as an assistant, where you gain practical experience under the guidance of experienced professionals.
