What will you learn?

(Circular Engineering) The Circular Engineering program focuses on developing sustainable solutions and innovations that contribute to a circular economy. Students learn how to deploy resources more efficiently, minimize waste, and design products that are reusable. The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills and provides insight into various sectors such as construction, technology, and production. The emphasis is on collaboration with companies and organizations to make real impact in the world of sustainable development. During the study, students are prepared to analyze complex environmental issues and implement solutions that deliver economic, social, and ecological benefits. Additionally, topics such as systems thinking and cradle-to-cradle philosophy are highlighted.

Required Education

For admission to the HBO Circular Engineering program, you need at least a HAVO diploma, VWO diploma, or MBO-4 diploma. The Nature & Technology (N&T) or Nature & Health (N&G) profile fits best with this technical environmental program. Mathematics and physics are often required subjects, because you need to be able to make technical calculations and understand physical processes. If you don't have a suitable prior education, you may still be admitted through a 21+ test or colloquium doctum.
