More and more schools have students from around the world. That enriches your classroom — but can also be confusing. Here you'll learn about cultural differences and why they're actually a strength.
Netherlands
Students often address teachers informally, ask questions, and may disagree with the teacher. This is normal and even encouraged.
North/West Africa & Middle East

East Africa
Elders and teachers are treated with great respect. Eye contact with an older person can be seen as challenging. In the Netherlands, eye contact is a sign of attention.
