(Webdesigner) A webdesigner is responsible for designing visually appealing and user-friendly websites. You work together with developers to realize the designs and ensure that the user experience is optimal. Daily, you spend time sketching ideas, creating layouts, and testing the website to ensure everything functions as intended. For a position as webdesigner, you typically need an HBO education in communication, media & design, or a comparable creative field. An MBO education in media, design, or ICT can also provide a good foundation. Strong practical experience with webdesign tools and an impressive portfolio can sometimes compensate for lower formal education.
As a webdesigner, you can advance to this role from positions like junior graphic designer or UX/UI intern. With experience, you develop towards senior webdesigner, UX/UI lead, or creative director, where you get more strategic responsibilities and start leading teams.
