Classical Ballet

(Klassiek Ballet) In the AD Classical Ballet program, you develop yourself into a versatile dancer with strong technical skills and artistic expression. You take intensive dance lessons in classical ballet technique, working on perfect body postures, jumping power, flexibility and grace. In addition to practical dance training, you also take subjects like anatomy and physiology to prevent injuries, dance history to understand the tradition, and music theory to refine your sense of rhythm. This two-year program differs from a full bachelor's degree in that it is completely focused on practical dance skills and direct employability in the dance world. You participate in various performances and workshops, collaborate with choreographers and complete internships with professional dance companies. The program is ideal for motivated dancers who already have a solid foundation in ballet and want to professionalize their technique without studying for four years. You also learn about costume design, makeup and theater production to be broadly employable in the dance world.
