What will you learn?

(Logistics Management) In the AD Logistics Management program, you learn everything about efficiently organizing and managing goods flows, from purchasing to delivery to the end customer. You delve into subjects such as supply chain management, inventory control, transport and distribution management, and warehousing. Additionally, you receive instruction in business economics, project management, and sustainability in logistics. What distinguishes this AD from a full HBO bachelor's degree is the strong focus on direct practical application and the shorter study duration of two years. You work on realistic case studies from real logistics companies and carry out practical projects where you analyze logistics problems and develop solutions. An extensive internship of at least 20 weeks at a logistics company forms an essential part of your education. This AD is perfect for you if you are analytical, good at planning and organizing, and fascinated by optimizing processes in the dynamic world of transport, storage, and distribution.

Required Education

For admission to the AD Logistics Management program, you need at least an MBO level 4 diploma, preferably in a related field such as transport and logistics, trade and entrepreneurship, or technology. If you have a HAVO diploma, the Economics & Society (E&M) profile is most suitable because it provides you with knowledge of economics and business studies that directly connects to logistics business operations. The Culture & Society (C&M) profile is also possible, provided you have studied mathematics and economics. For HAVO, especially the subjects mathematics and economics are important, as you work extensively with numbers, calculations, and business economic problems. There are usually no additional admission requirements or entrance exams required. As alternative admission routes, you can also be admitted with a VWO diploma or through a colloquium doctum if you are 21 years or older and have relevant work experience in the logistics sector.

Career Prospects

After obtaining your AD, you can immediately start working as a logistics coordinator, warehouse supervisor, planning employee, or supply chain assistant at distribution centers, transport companies, production companies, or webshops. You can work in sectors such as e-commerce (bol.com, Amazon), retail (Albert Heijn, IKEA), automotive (VDL, DAF), or the port and air freight sector. As a starter, you can expect a salary between €2,200 and €2,800 gross per month, depending on the company and region. The career advancement opportunities are excellent: with a few years of experience, you can advance to positions such as logistics manager, operations manager, or supply chain specialist. Additionally, you can use your AD as a stepping stone to a full HBO bachelor's in Logistics Management or Supply Chain Management, where you often receive exemptions and can complete the program in one and a half years.
